Hello again, dear friends! Happy Friday!
We’re essentially mid-way through August and do you know what that means?!?!? In approximately 30 days I will, in fact, decorate for FALL.
I am linking up today to share my recent favorite things with you. I’ve been wanting to share these for a while and just haven’t been able to write a post until now!

Work out shorts.
I never thought the day would come, but rest assured the heat will make one do crazy things like buy work out shorts.
Well, after I dabbled with 3 inch work out shorts that made me want to scream bloody murder when I looked in the mirror I actually found these Tek Gear 5 inch work out shorts. Let me tell you with emphatic emphasis that I love these shorts. 5 inches is just where it’s at for my legs. They come in multiple colors and they also come in plus sizes. Oh, and THEY HAVE POCKETS! Winning!

Breathable work out clothes.
2020. The year that forced everyone to stay home and embrace athleisure with a passion.
My usual day-to-day work out attire took on a whole new meaning when I never really had a reason to change out of them since we weren’t leaving the house. Factor in the blazing hot summer temperatures and humidity, yours truly began looking for any way to wear the least amount of clothing possible or at least clothes that don’t stick to my skin when wet.
In comes this really neat work out clothing brand called Zyia. I recently ordered a few tops from them and my goodness - I love them! I just ordered a few more tops and will show them off when they come in.
The Black Edge Chill Crop is a must. I threw it on over my sweaty sports bra four days in a row for the remainder of the day around the house. It allowed my sports bra to dry off and for me to have a much needed breeze when I took the doggies outside. It covers plenty!
The Black High Neck Stronger Tank spoke to me. Not only did it turn out to be the perfect fit underneath the black edge chill crop if I wanted to wear them together, but it’s also flattering to wear on it’s own. Lately I have been working out in just my sports bra (at our house) because I get so sweaty, so this is a great option to wear and not have a long, covered shirt sticking to my body.
I purchased this White Namaste top and it is SO SO SO soft! It’s long sleeved so naturally I won’t be wearing it for a while, but I am super excited to! It comes in three colors.
You can select the “categories” button for a drop down to peruse the rest of the items. There’s so many! Very high quality and CUTE!

I ordered these over a month ago and have been dying to share these. I do not know why I waited so many years to make this switch to velvet hangers other than the unnecessary cost, but I sure wish I had changed out my hangers years ago.
Hello more space! Hello pretty closet!
The hangers truly did free up space because they’re so much thinner and congruent. Since I took these pictures, I’ve also replaced the plastic skirt hangers with velvet skirt hangers. I could not be happier every time I walk into my closet!

Simple and silly, but I have thought about these for far too long while in the shower and then forgot to order them. What handy little things they are. Now my Norwex body items are displayed and can dry properly.

Easy recipes.
I have had to cook quite a bit lately given the quarantine(s) and shut downs, but to be honest I haven’t dabbled with super healthy recipes in a while. When the world was going crazy and the grocery store shelves were emptying rapidly, we stocked up on a lot of frozen vegetables and meats and canned goods. Well, I have been working with those more than I’d like to but also trying to use up a lot of what we have.
So, I tried to mimic a new recipe the other day using what I had on hand and it turned out exceptionally delicious. Is it healthy??? Well, that depends on the way you look at it. But, for the simplicity of the recipe and an easy weeknight meal we’ll take it! We ate the leftovers for lunch today and still have another portion that will go into the freezer for a future serving.
It may not look appealing, but it is mouth watering good!
Ingredients
- 1 - 20oz bag shredded hashbrowns
- 2 - 12oz boxes Pacific Foods gluten free cream of chicken
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 - 13oz beef sausage link, sliced, then cut into quarters
- Cajun Seasoning - sprinkled to taste preference (I used about 1 tablespoon and it was a bit salty)
Mix all of the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Spray non-stick spray in a 9x9” baking dish. Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Bake for 1 hour at 375* F.
All the flavors just melt in your mouth!!! Serves 4-6 servings.
I adapted the recipe from this one here which called for ground sausage and sour cream.
That’s a wrap for this week, folks! Any new favorites for you lately??
I hope you enjoyed this post and have a great weekend ahead!
XOXO
