Spa Night At Home
Happy Monday, friends.
How was your weekend? I hope it treated you well and you were able to do something fun and relaxing.
I just got back from a trip to Cancun last night and while that seems to be a recurring thing this year, rest assured that this was the last of my scheduled trips to Mexico as of right now. 😉
Leading up to this trip I considered whether or not I wanted to partake in a massage because the resort has a luxury hydrotherapy circuit and the whole experience is exceptionally lovely. However, I opted not to this time and instead enjoyed an “at home” spa evening before leaving town
There are plenty of products and gadgets that make an “at home” spa night easily achievable and enjoyable. I am not the best person nor source for most anything regarding skin care or makeup for that matter, but I am getting better at remembering to do some things as well as remembering that I need to remember to do some things for my skin. Nonetheless, I thought I’d share with you the handful of products that I use and love.

Let’s take a look.
1. NORWEX - If I am going to have a spa night at home, I would start by washing my face with the Norwex body cloth or makeup remover cloth. I also sometimes use the exfoliating facial mitt and goodness, I love that thing! One of the many great things about Norwex is that you can fully clean your face and body with just water. However, they released a cleansing facial powder last year and I’m equally obsessed with using this on days I wear my heavy makeup.
2. BATH TIME - I am not a huge bath person because I get overheated easily and Houston is typically really hot anyway. But, this year I took to soaking in shallow (hot) water and that was the trick to not overheating. I used to have this tray and got some great usage out of it. I need to purchase a new one, actually. Because I get overheated I use a handheld fan on the tray and sometimes even an oscillating standing fan by the tub. Soaking has provided me an outlet to zone out on days that I need to or to concentrate and focus on a task I need to accomplish on my phone, but either way it is dedicated “me time”.
3. WASHING - I still use Dove bar soap but Norwex has a great body wash in their Lysere line! I don’t wash my hair on these nights, but they do have shampoo and conditioner as well as other fabulous hair care products like a protectant spray, deep conditioning mask, and dry shampoo.
4. EXFOLIATING - After soaking a bit, I like to scrub (my self tanner off) and use either the Norwex body cloth (mentioned above) or the body scrub mitt or back scrubber.
5. AFTER - Y’all, these plush microfiber towels are so luxurious. I literally love them. Soft and fluffy. I use the hair wrap every time I wash my hair and it cuts down the drying time as well.
6. MOISTURIZING - I am obsessed with the Norwex Hydrating Moisturizer. It is silky and light which is perfect for my sensitive, oily skin type. I use the body balm on my arms and legs sometimes as well for a doze of heavier balmy moisture. They have a full line of great options for moisturizing your face, serums for your skin and eyes, and lips.
7. TANNING - Since I’m discussing my own personal spa night, I tend to apply my self tanner on these nights when I have exfoliated. 😁
8. HONORABLE MENTIONS - throughout the years I have tried these various gadgets/products that would work well when integrated into a spa night routine.
