Fall Favorites: Fall Fashion

Hello everyone!
We’re moving along into the fall season and thus it is time to bring out our fall transitional pieces ~ whether or not we live in an area that has cool weather. Those of us in southern states tend to dress the part because our office A/C temps keep us chilly enough while the outside temps will break a sweat. This year we may or may not be walking into an office building so the struggle is real.
I put on my favorite fall sweater color (camel), cranked up the fireplace, and took a photo just for you! Oh how I wish I could have kept the fireplace on, but alas it wasn’t cool enough outside to justify it.
I thought I’d share some of the wardrobe pieces that make me feel fall-ish even when it’s warm outside!
Booties!
These are a necessity for everyone. Easy to wear with most anything. Not too formal, not too casual. You can find some with little to no heel, block heel, or stiletto heel. They’re comfortable and just airy enough to keep the feet cool.

2. Leopard print anything.
I pretty much incorporate leopard print into any time of year, but fall is the epitome of perfect for leopard print. Hats, scarves, belts, booties, blouses, sweaters, and totes. You name it!

3. Scarves all day, every day.
Scarves just feel like fall to me. There are any type imaginable out there that will work for the climate you live in, the work life you dress for, and the outdoor activities you enjoy. It’s time to break out the scarves!
** I’ll spare you this plethora of choices as we all know you find these at any and every store!
4. Hats.
Fedoras, Panama hats, wide brimmed hats, baseball caps, knit hats, etc. Hats serve a purpose both for fashion as well as for practical warmth. To be honest, though, we mainly wear them for style purposes in the south.

5. Mules
I waited a long while to give these types of shoes a try because of my foot surgery a couple years ago that can make it difficult for me to wear anything pointed. But, I just picked up a couple of pairs from Old Navy that fit great and do not hurt my feet! So…I will be ordering some of these below to give them a try a well.
My feet get hot easily and then I get overheated so having a shoe that I can slide off easily is a major win for me. ;)

6. Ankle leggings and leggings to show off your boots and booties!
This is the best time to don your favorite pair of ankle jeans/jeggings/leggings. Your ankle booties look perfect in them and if you wear your tall boots you do not have extra pant length to contend with around your ankles.
My go to brands for jeans are: AG Jeans, Blank NYC, Madewell, 1822 Denim, Apt. 9, Express, Rock & Republic Jeans.
My go to brands for leggings are: Spanx, Zella, and Old Navy.

There are plenty of other things to mention like sweaters, tall boots, riding boots, and vests that make an outfit feel like fall.
