A Great Jacket is a Great Accessory!

I'm at it again to send you all off on a mission to Marshall's!   I'm sorry to do that, but I'm not that sorry.  When I was last at Marshall's discovering that great priced cashmere duster (long sweater vest) by Max Studio, I also found a couple of great priced faux leather jackets.  Because I live in Houston and because I love fall/winter so much, I have a closet full of jackets that rarely get used.  It is simply ridiculous for me to invest in a real leather jacket when I get the opportunity to wear it a handful of times each year.  Thus, I have acquired some great finds at great prices that are in great condition regardless of how long I've had them!  They're more like accessories than utilitarian, have to have for warmth type of coats.  I have those too, and they're a bit dusty these days!

On this past trip to Marshall's I picked up a mock neck faux leather jacket by Jou Jou for only $25!  It looks like a cross between a plum/burgundy and brown.  I hadn't actually pinpointed which color I think it really is even though I tried to assess over the weekend.  However, l I found it online at Kohl's here and at Macy's here where it says the color is Walnut.  It is priced higher at Kohl's and Macy's so of course I would say run out to your local Marshall's before buying it online to see if you can find it cheaper.  I've purchased a faux leather jacket from Express in the past and it's held up perfectly for the past 4 years!  I *almost* bought a new/different one from them this year and had been holding out for a sale when I found this little beauty and a black faux leather bomber jacket for $25 as well.  JACKPOT.  Haven't I mentioned you need to check out your local Marshall's?

Taking selfies has yet to get less awkward for me.

I was able to wear my new jacket this past weekend when I traveled to Tennessee and (thank you, Lord) the temperatures were cooler.  It seems to be made well and looked great, in my opinion.  I was comfortable the entire day.  I paired it with a white open knit sleeveless sweater from J. Crew Factory (currently sold out), my skinny jeans from Denizen by Levi's (from Target!), and my black Old Navy booties.  I wore those booties all weekend and didn't even touch the other shoes I brought.  They're that comfortable!

Yes, I am awkward in selfies.  This is to show the up close detail of the jacket! =}

You can shop this out as well as my previous purchase from Marshall's by clicking on the pictures below.  Some items I found exact matches of and some I found similar items.  I hope you enjoy the savings!

Happy Shopping!  Happy Friday!  Friday Fashion!

XOXO

PS - I had to share this pic of me with my Mammaw.  She's 91 years young, an absolute angel on Earth, and sporting MY sunglasses in the car. ;)  I was laughing so excuse the toothy smile!  It cracked me up.
