Thanksgiving Table Decorations
Hello friends,
Thanksgiving is THREE weeks away! I am shaking my head just thinking about that. Have you started your grocery lists and figured out who’s cooking or bringing which dish? I have to start organizing ours and getting our meal ordered. After spending years of preparing Thanksgiving meals and dishes, I have eagerly shifted into the “let’s just get it catered” style of hosting. We tend to have a large family & friend event and it’s just easier that way when hosting anywhere from 20-45 people!
I have some beautiful '“harvest” dishes and cute pumpkin tureens and serving platters. I try to use them if I can, but with our group size we opt to purchase disposable plates these days. Do you have holiday dishes you like to use?
I’ve rounded up some ideas for decorating your table for Thanksgiving, but decided not to include the fun holiday plates because if you’re like me, you may buy them and not even get to use them. I still love to look at them and dream of a beautiful table-scape and place setting, but I’ve decided to focus on the table decorations instead in the past numerous years. It’s worked out easier for our group size!
Let’s take a look!

I really like these items and they’re in the neutral color palette. I like to weave a garland down the center of our formal table and mix in pumpkins and candles. It creates an inviting “centerpiece”.
The marble serving platter, stand, and lazy Susan are a year round neutral. I have the previous version of the marble riser and have used it in various ways including to display desserts or cheeses, to display candles and decor, and next to the kitchen sink to hold soaps.

kirkland’s
Kirkland’s is just an easy place to find cute home decorations year round. IYKYK. I no longer live near one so I don’t frequent the store as much anymore, but still look online.
Everything in me wants to purchase every thing in this collection, too. I love these dinner and salad plates and the matching bowls! The pattern is “quiet” and dainty with the soft brown color. I have pumpkin platters and tureens like these, but with lids! The speckled pumpkin salad plates though…those would be adorable to add to a table setting.
While the leaf serving platters work perfectly for fall and Thanksgiving, they also could be used throughout the year because they’re white and the shapes are not as obvious as a maple leaf would have been.

WalMART
Y’all. I have wanted these black and white spotted dishes for MONTHS. I have looked at them repeatedly online as well as physically in the store. I can’t justify adding dishes to our collection of white dishes primarily because we do not eat at home often. But, goodness. They’re cute.
Walmart has been adding more and more brands / celebrity designed collections and I’ve been impressed. Sofia Vergara for instance - has a home and clothing line that I find myself looking at. Drew Barrymore has a kitchen appliance line called “Beauty” that is literally beautiful. The appliances come in a variety of rich matte colors like white, black, blue, deep green, and grey. They have major lust appeal, I’ll tell you that. I showed you the white versions below.

How do you normally style your Thanksgiving table? Do you have a bar area that you carry the decor throughout? Do you buy fresh flowers and real pumpkins or stick with the reusable faux florals and pumpkins. I know that is a debate of style in itself! Comment below!
