Happy National Margarita Day! Yes, it is a real day. #texmexeveryday #allthemargaritasplease
PSST! Before I continue, how cute is this shirt?!?!
I thought I'd share a quick post in honor of National Margarita Day to share my favorite tequila!
As some of you may know, this is my hubby’s tequila and it is AMAZING! It has won several awards and beats 1942 in blind tastings left and right. 👊 It’s sold in six states currently and there’s four kinds: Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Ultra Añejo. Pretty much, you can’t go wrong.
Oh, and I should mention we have the cutest mascot! ❤
Now, for the record, I am an avid wine and margarita drinker and a picky one at that. I cannot tell you how many times I have judged a restaurant based on a bad margarita! This recipe here is truly my favorite - simple and limey. YUM!
Ingredients
- 3⁄4 oz Fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz Orange liqueur
- 1 1⁄2 oz Titanium Blanco tequila
- Kosher salt (optional)
- Garnish: Lime wheel
- Glass: Cocktail or rocks
Directions:
Add the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and shake.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a lime wheel.
For a slightly sweeter drink, add a dash of agave syrup (one part water, two parts agave nectar) before shaking.
*ENJOY*
Now, doesn't that sound refreshing?
You can find this recipe on the site directly. And of course, always drink responsibly!
Where's your favorite place to enjoy a margarita? Do you have a preferred flavor? I always go for lime! And now to brighten your day until you can get off from work to go drink a margarita...
XOXO
