Adios September!

You were a quick month and I’m not upset about it. I’ll be taking down some of my fall decor tomorrow (temporarily) to add in some Halloween decor!

I am linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to share my monthly recap of September.

What we're eating this week:

It’s safe to say this week will be easy meals since I just got back in town on Monday evening. Things like steak and veggies, fish and potatoes, chicken and something, and maybe even my pumpkin chili just because it’s FALL.

What I'm reminiscing about:

Past Octobers.

I used to enjoy making many fall and Halloween crafts. I still do! Or, I still would I should say. I just haven’t had the time nor need to craft anything lately. If my sweet nieces lived here I would have a field day!

You can view my previous crafting / DIY posts here for some Halloween, fall, and Christmas projects.

PS - the below pictures were taken before I started my blog so they’re not exceptional photo quality.

What I'm loving:

I’m loving having my house decorated for fall! Between the fall decor and the fall scents I can easily pretend its not 80+ degrees outside.

What we've been up to:

This month was a busy one. I’ve been working and traveling.

We visited Fredericksburg for a dear friend’s wedding. No complaints here at all except for my cell phone provider that apparently does not like the Texas Hill Country.

Lulu’s Dress - Blowing Kisses is sold out in this color because I bought it in January! They have other colors that keep selling out and being restocked too so if you like this dress just check back for it.

I just returned from Napa, CA. celebrating a bestie’s upcoming wedding. We had a blast and while the temps were warmer than usual it was all still beautiful. We drank wine, laughed a lot, ate delicious food, and made new memories. Thankfully we did not have any plans affected by the fires and we’re all worried and praying for the residents, vineyards, and companies being affected by the fire and smoke damage. It is truly heart breaking to see it happening out there.

What I'm dreading:

Not a thing!

What I'm working on:

I’m working on my blog more! I’ve finally bitten the bullet to purchase some things I knew I needed and had in my cart since 2016 and 2017. OOPS! I also am going back through all of the to-do lists I knew I needed to do but just didn’t because I thought I’d stop blogging at any time. Life is funny like that! I’m learning how to use and utilize Like to Know It which was something I had on my to do list since 2017…

I’m also working on my Bible study that I had to put aside earlier this month when things got a bit hectic.

What I'm excited about:

  • Truly, I am mostly excited about fall weather and fall clothes.

  • I just celebrated FOUR years of blogging! That’s quite an accomplishment if I do say so myself.

What I'm watching/reading:

Watching: REPEAT: I haven’t really been watching anything lately. I put the Hallmark Channel on while I work out, I put on Friends in the evenings when I’m working on other stuff before bed. I have caught a few Married at First Sites and a few 90 Day Fiance’s but haven’t committed to figuring out their schedules or recording them (even though I love them!).

Reading: I just started reading Twelve Days of Christmas because it was next in my purchased books on Kindle, but I have since lined up Doing it Over by Catherine Bybee and Autumn: A Small Town Sweet Romance by Amy Ruth Allen. Most of my reading choices stem from wanting something light hearted and easy reading or the prices or specials offered on Kindle. If you have any suggestions I would love to look into them!

I read these recently and enjoyed them.

What I'm listening to:

Pandora stations: Hillsong United radio station and Christmas music a bit. ;) I’m just getting ready…

What I'm wearing:

NEW: You can now follow along with my outfits and other home shopping suggestions by clicking here!

Lately, I am wearing anything even remotely fall related that I can justify in the heat.

Leith ruched dress // Vince suede boots // similar hat

I wore this outfit for my blog anniversary photos.

I have purchased three of these satin midi skirts in blush, black, and red. Midi lengths are a tad difficult on my height but I really liked these. They’re mostly sold out from Ruthie Grace, but you can find similar looks at other stores!

Similar heels // Similar blouse // Earrings

And I recently shared this outfit along with some other fall style ideas in this fall favorites post.

ON almond toe mules // Wit & Wisdom jeans // Similar ON sweater

blanket scarf // felt floppy hat

I’m still wearing lots of athleisure while working from home. I’ll be sharing some potential new faves from my Napa trip soon, too!

What I'm doing this weekend:

This weekend we will be celebrating the hub’s birthday!

What I'm looking forward to next month:

Halloween! Now, for the record I am really not a Halloween person. But, I am truly going to enjoy each holiday this year because 2020 has been sort of blah and I hope to see children come by to trick-or-treat in their costumes.

I’m definitely excited for any potential cooler weather that should* come with October.

What else is new:

That’s it for now!

How have you been this month of September? Anything fun and new happening for you? Have you decorated yet???

Wishing you all a wonderful remainder of the week! I’ll see you back here on Friday. =)

XOXO
