My Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes

Ooooo weeee, I just love Thanksgiving food! We’re keeping our holiday small this year because of Covid-19 whereas last year we had 45 people at our house. It makes me SO sad that I won’t have all of my family together this year. I pray this time next year we can all safely get together again.

I shared this printable Thanksgiving dinner planner / shopping list that I created a couple of weeks ago but here it is again…you can PRINT IT HERE or pin the image below.

What are your favorite dishes for Thanksgiving dinner? I think I pretty much love it all, truth be told. But, there are two things I tend to go back for seconds of: dressing/stuffing and green bean casserole. YUM!

When it comes to the holidays I tend to let up on my dietary restrictions a tiny smidge when needed just to simplify things. So instead of spending extra effort to make a Paleo dressing/stuffing, I usually stick to gluten free corn bread mixes and then make it from scratch using my Mammaw’s directions. I’ve been very fortunate that each time it tastes just like her dressing!

Here are her ingredients/instructions that you can pin or print!

And yes…there are no other measurements included because that is how Mammaw cooks and shares her recipes with us. But, I promise it will turn out perfectly!

Now green bean casserole…you either love it oooorrrrr you pass it up. I personally love it and always go for seconds. There’s nothing super magical about how I make it and I definitely do not measure a thing when I do. You have to just gauge the consistency and roll with it. It’s very difficult to mess up this dish!

You can pin or print the gluten free green bean casserole recipe here!

Honorable mentions:

I've posted endlessly about various Paleo & Keto breads. Make sure to check them out so you can nosh guiltlessly on bread during the holidays.

I’ve also shared my Paleo pumpkin pie a dozen times, but here it is if you’d like to try it! It’s simple, it’s delicious, and it’s pumpkin pie. Queue the applause!

If you want additional Paleo dessert ideas, you can find them here.

What are your favorite Thanksgiving dishes? What is custom in your family?
