Let's Look: Yummy Fall Recipes
Oh my Fall!
I couldn’t be more excited that “fall” is here. It’s not particularly cooler here in Houston yet but the last 24 hours of cooler temps means we’ve had decent mornings these past two mornings. There is a major difference to walk outside and it feel good unlike the usual walk outside and it feel like I’ve walked into a literal wall of humidity and heat and thus begin to sweat immediately and feel like I’m going to pass out.
I digress.
It’s fall! My pumpkins and decor are spread around the house and my pumpkin scented candles are flickering. I’m not into pumpkin spice coffee creamers or pumpkin spice coffee (I’ve tried, just can’t), but I sure do love everything else pumpkin! This, my friends, is why I am opting to share my previous fall-pumpkin recipes with you again today. I know they can get lost on the blog and even with the recipe tab at the top of the page sometimes it’s forgotten.
So today I’m linking up to share some yummy fall recipes from the archives.
Searching through my stuff just by the key word “pumpkin” is a swift reminder of how much I used to cook. I really enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen to convert recipes to Paleo or Whole 30, or even whipping up something from scratch. Here are some of my favorite pumpkin recipes, but there are more in the recipes section if you care to look!
Pssssst! A reminder that at the bottom of every post are key words that you can click on and it will take you to a page with everything related to that on the blog. IE: at the bottom of this one will be Paleo, Whole 30, Pumpkin, Fall, Recipes, Desserts, etc. and each word will take you to anything that has been categorized using one of these words. See example below:
BREAKFAST
Pancakes seem like a weekend indulgence, but you can make healthy ones! These Pumpkin Pancakes are Whole 30 and Paleo friendly.
BREAKFAST or DESSERT
A sweet bread is truly a treat but it’s a guiltless treat when it’s healthy, right? This recipe for cinnamon pumpkin bread is Paleo and the double win is that it will make your home smell wonderful too. Isn’t that what fall’s all about?
If muffins are a bald cupcake, then pancakes are just pan-fried cake! Regardless of the time of day it’s served, it’s still tasty.
These Paleo chocolate pumpkin muffins are a hit every time I bake them and with everyone who’s tried them. I made them again a few weeks ago and they didn’t last long! It’s a go to treat that I do not feel bad about the hubby eating.
One word - streusel. I’m a fan.
These pumpkin muffins with streusel are Paleo as well.
LUNCH or DINNER
When the temperatures drop, there’s nothing quite a delicious or warming as a hot bowl of chili or soup. This turkey pumpkin chili is one that I’ve made over and over and over with various ingredients depending on what I have on hand. I like to add butternut squash in place of beans but it’s not necessary. I also like to add pumpkin puree to thicken it up a bit and add healthy nutrients and fiber to the chili. You can make it with or without it of course!
Speaking of butternut squash, this Whole 30 and Paleo verde chili is the hubby’s favorite. It’s simple, quick, and dang good!
DESSERT
Without a doubt this is a fun section especially with holiday events coming up. Here’s one of many from my dessert recipes but you can find the rest here!
Paleo pumpkin pie is something I never feel guilty about. It’s not very sweet at all and is crustless. It cuts and serves with ease too, so do not be worried about having no crust. This is great for gluten free guests or those looking for a lighter dessert after a heavy meal. Serve it with whipped coconut cream for an added win!
What are your favorite fall recipes? Is there anything you like to cook a lot during this season?
I’d love to hear!
COMING SOON (hopefully):
Wishing everyone a wonderful Wednesday and rest of the week!
XOXO
